This past weekend we went upstate in New York and found ourselves at a very new brewery called Newburgh Brewing Company
. The founder and brewmaster Christopher Basso, who cut his chops at Brooklyn Brewery
for five years before shipping up North has done a hell of a job with his Saison and Brown Ale, which won 98 out of 100 points by the boys over at Beer Advocate. We enjoyed hanging out with scrabble on the table, plenty of beers and of course, who couldn't resist ordering up some Hudson Valley fresh Pork Rinds!
